A 37-year-old Imperial woman recently was arrested in Arnold for alleged possession of methamphetamine, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred just before 1 a.m. Sept. 9, Arnold Police reported.
Arnold Police got a call about suspicious activity at the Circle K, 1980 Richardson Road. The caller told police a blue truck was on the parking lot, and the woman inside it had met people there and then just sat in the truck for an extended period of time, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
Once officers arrived, she told them “she was intoxicated and didn’t want to drive,” Jones said. Police reportedly found her with meth, prescription medication and a syringe, he said.
The woman was taken to the Arnold Police Department, where she was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on results from drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek felony drug charges against her through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
