An Imperial teenager was arrested July 26, following a police chase in Arnold, Arnold Police report.

An officer spotted the 16-year-old driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer at Richardson Road and I-55 and tried to stop him for an alleged traffic violation, but he didn’t immediately pull over, the report said.

Eventually, the teen was stopped at Hwy. 141 and Astra Way and was arrested for resisting arrest and numerous traffic violations, according to the report.

Also, he was arrested for tampering because the SUV he was driving reportedly belonged to his parents, and he took it without permission, the report said.

The teen allegedly was already on probation for a similar offense, according to the report.

He was taken to the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center and released to authorities there, and the case was turned over to juvenile authorities, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
