A 50-year-old Imperial man was arrested after he was found in a pickup reported stolen outside a home in the 1200 block of Surfside Drive in Arnold. The arrest happened a week after the 1994 Dodge Dakota was stolen, Arnold Police reported.
St. Charles Police found the man in the pickup on Feb. 1 and arrested him. The pickup was stolen at about 6:55 a.m. Jan. 25 after a 60-year-old Arnold man left it unlocked with the engine running outside the home. The pickup owner is a 58-year-old Arnold woman, the report said.
Video surveillance showed a man get out of a black Saturn that was parked next to the truck, get into the Dakota, and then both vehicles were driven away, Arnold Police reported.
Cpl. Brett Ackermann said after Arnold Police detectives interview the suspect, the department likely will seek charges against him.
