Patricia Payne, 54, of House Springs was seriously hurt Wednesday afternoon (April 28) in a two-vehicle accident at Bear Creek Road and Gary Drive east of Byrnes Mill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 1:39 p.m., Payne was driving a westbound 1997 Ford F150 pickup, and Eugene Liss, 91, of House Springs was driving an eastbound 2011 Toyota Rav4, and while turning left from a private drive, pulled into the path of the pickup, and the front of the F150 struck the front of the Rav4, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Liss.
Payne was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in good condition this afternoon (April 29), a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
