Levi A. Hall, 28, of House Springs has been charged with felony and misdemeanor domestic assault. He allegedly attacked a woman on at least two occasions at a home in the 5000 block of Darren Drive in House Springs, court records show.
Hall on April 28 was charged with first-degree domestic assault, a class B felony; third-degree domestic assault, a class E felony; and fourth-degree domestic assault, a class A misdemeanor, according to court documents.
Hall was arrested on May 14. As of May 15, he was being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records said.
According to probable-cause statements filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged assaults occurred on April 11 and April 20.
A woman told investigators that on April 11 she and Hall were having an argument and went to a bedroom of the home. She said she picked up a kitchen knife to defend herself, claiming he had attacked her before, the probable-cause statement said.
Hall grabbed the alleged victim by the wrist, causing her to drop the knife, and he then shoved her into a wall. She then ran to the living room, where she threw Hall’s clothes out of the house and demanded he leave, the report said.
Hall then grabbed her from behind, and he allegedly threw her onto a couch. The woman said he started choking her, and when she told him he that she could not breathe, he said he didn’t care and was going to kill her, according to the report.
The woman and Hall on April 20 were arguing again at the home, and he allegedly threw the woman to the kitchen floor causing the woman to hit her head. Hall left the home after the encounter, the probable-cause statement said.
A class B felony is punishable by five to 15 years in prison, and a class E felony carries a penalty of up to four years in prison. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.
