A 27-year-old House Springs man allegedly had illegal drugs in his pocket when he was arrested on outstanding warrants in Cedar Hill. The man was seen walking in and out of a roadway prior to his arrest, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
On April 29, a deputy went to the 8000 block of Local Hillsboro Road, where he saw the man walking on the road near Craig Drive. The deputy knew the man was wanted on felony warrants and arrested him, the report said.
When the deputy searched the man, he allegedly found multiple capsules in the man’s pocket. The capsules contained a powder substance that is suspected of being illegal drugs, according to the report.
The man was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where he was booked and held on the warrants, the report said.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, the Sheriff’s Office will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Capt. Matt Moore said.
