The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent burglary at a home in the 2100 block of Sunswept Lane in High Ridge. The burglary occurred between Jan. 20 and Jan. 23, while the victim was away, the report said.
It looked like someone took apart the handle on a door at the rear of the home to get inside and then stole cash, change and a gray Samsonite suitcase with airline stickers on it. In all, the money and suitcase were valued at $255, the report said.
As of Friday (Jan. 17), the stolen money and suitcase had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Capt. Gary Higginbotham said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
