Hillsboro Police are asking for the public’s help to find a red or maroon pickup that left the scene of an accident on Feb. 14. The accident happened about 4:40 p.m. on Business 21 at Goldfinch Lane near the Hillsboro Taco Bell, said Lt. Steve Hutt, who runs the Hillsboro Police Department.
The accident involved not only the pickup, described as a 1990s Dodge Ram extended cab, but also a white Chevrolet Traverse, Hutt said.
“There were no injuries reported, but the pickup left the scene of the accident,” Hutt said. “It has damage to the driver’s side.
Hutt said Tuesday (Feb. 20) that the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to the Hillsboro Police at 636-797-5229.
Hutt, who recently was promoted, is heading up the Hillsboro Police Department while Chief Charles Bennett is on an extended sick leave.
