Arnold Police arrested a 35-year-old Hillsboro man who was found driving a car that had been reported stolen in Jefferson County. The man also allegedly was found with methamphetamine, police reported.
At 9:25 a.m. June 30, officers found the man at the QuikTrip, 1069 Jeffco Blvd., after a Flock license-plate reading camera spotted the stolen 2010 Kia Forte in the area near Hwy. 141 and I-55. The car he was in had been reported stolen the day before, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
The man was taken into custody and officers allegedly found him with a substance believed to be meth. He was taken to the Arnold Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for warrant, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for tampering with a motor vehicle and, depending on results of the drug analysis, possession of a controlled substance, Christopher said.
