A 49-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine after he allegedly drove a pickup into a restricted lot at the Arnold Police Station, 2101 Jeffco Blvd. The incident happened at 6:05 a.m. Oct. 23, authorities reported.
The Hillsboro man drove a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado onto the rear parking lot at the Police Station, which is off limits to the public, and the man was unable to provide a reason why he drove into the area. When police searched him for weapons, they allegedly found him with a pipe and a substance believed to be meth in one of his pant pockets, the report said.
He was arrested, booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on lab results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and second-degree trespassing, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
