The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Lone Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church in the 5200 block of Hillsboro-Hematite Road southeast of Hillsboro. A door was damaged and several items were stolen, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The burglary, which occurred sometime between Oct. 16 and Oct. 23, was reported after a church representative found a back door open. It looked like it had been forced open, the report said.

Stolen items included cookware, buckets, plastic containers, towels, dish rags, potholders, basins and trash cans. In all, the items were valued at $1,000, according to the report.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said Oct. 25 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
