Michelle S. Gorski, 48, of High Ridge, a persistent offender, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison following felony driving while intoxicated charges and probation violations. She has been convicted of at least five DWIs, according to court records.
In July 2010, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office got a call that Gorski, formerly of Fenton, was seen urinating in a yard in the 900 block of Thousand Pines Drive in the Fenton area and then getting in a car and driving away. A short time later, a deputy stopped her car at Hwy. 30 and Delores Drive in the Fenton area and determined she was driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition, Gorski was driving with a revoked license, the probable-cause statement said.
Gorski pleaded guilty to felony DWI – chronic offender, and in February 2012, she was sentenced to 12 years in prison. But, after completing a treatment program, she was released in April 2013 on five years’ probation and the sentence was suspended, the report said.
However, she violated the probation, and in January 2016, her 12-year sentenced was executed again. But, after completing another treatment program, she was released in May 2016 on five years’ probation. Gorski once again violated her probation, though, and on Nov. 13, Jefferson County Div. 5 Circuit Judge Victor J. Melenbrink executed the 12-year term, court papers show.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Douglas S. Pribble handled the case.
The 12-year term is to be served concurrent, or at the same time, with a three-year term Gorski previously was sentenced to for a DWI stemming from a June 2006 incident in Jefferson County, the report said.
Gorski had at least three other DWI convictions, including one tied to a July 2006 incident in St. Louis County, another one stemming from a December 1997 incident in Ballwin and one connected to a September 1997 incident in Manchester, according to court documents.
She currently is in the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
