A man who returned home from a 10-day hospital stay found several of his weapons, jewelry and other items stolen from his home in the 500 block of Echo Valley in House Springs. The burglary was reported about 11:20 a.m. Jan. 3, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told deputies that after he returned from the hospital, he discovered a side door to the mobile home had been forced open and someone had stolen numerous items, including five firearms; a gold mother’s ring with red, white, purple and green stones; a gold and ruby ring with a matching necklace and earrings; a diamond ring; diamond earrings, eight silver spoons; an electronic tablet and a laptop computer. In all, the items were valued at $5,500, the report said.
As of Jan. 18, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
