Pevely Police car

A Pevely resident came home to find her home ransacked and her gun missing Nov. 22.

The Pevely Police Department received a call about 5:30 p.m. from the victim, who lives in the 1500 block of Kenmon Court in the Kenmon Valley Mobile Home Park.

“When she arrived home from work, she found her front door open and the house was ransacked,” said Police Chief Ron Weeks.

Missing was a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic hand gun. Nothing else seemed to be gone from the residence, Weeks said.

“She called her boyfriend (who also lives in the mobile home) at work and he told her to look for the gun, and she found that it was missing,” Weeks said.

No arrests were made in the incident and the burglary is under investigation, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Pevely Police Department at 636-475-5301.
