A gold tooth and other items kept in a safe and valued at about $2,315 were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 100 block of Paradise Estates in Cedar Hill while the victim was away for a short time. The burglary occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. April 14. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
It looked like someone broke a rear door window to get inside the home and then stole items out of a portable safe. Besides the tooth, the stolen items included $470 in cash, three bottles of prescription medication, miscellaneous jewelry, two commemorative coins, $10 in loose change and a vehicle title, the report said.
Cpl. Matthew Moore said April 26 said that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. He urges anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
