After Eureka Police got a call about a man’s suspicious behavior around a Eureka strip mall, they ended up arresting him for alleged possession of narcotics.
At 4:33 p.m. July 11, Eureka Police got a call about the man acting strangely at the Legends Plaza, 54 The Legends Parkway. When officers arrived, they located the 20-year-old Franklin County man behind the strip mall, and he appeared to be under the influence of something, a report said.
The officers searched the man’s backpack and allegedly found a syringe, gel capsules and a metal spoon with residue from an unknown substance, according to the report.
The man was booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on results from drug analysis, Eureka Police will seek felony drug charges against the man through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
