Three four-wheelers and other items recently were stolen from sheds on a property in the 5000 block of Meadow Drive in Imperial. The theft happened between 10 a.m. Sept. 9 and 5 p.m. Sept. 11, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The culprit broke into three sheds on the property and stole the items. In addition to the four-wheelers, stolen items included four tires, three four-wheeler fuel tanks and three motorcycle fenders. In all, the items were valued at $1,450, the report said.
A black and orange hammer that did not belong to the victim was found at the scene. It may have been used to break into the sheds, so it was seized as evidence, according to the report.
As of Sept. 19, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
