The Eureka Police are investigating a burglary at the iStorage self-storage facility, 306 W. Fourth St. Four units were broken into, and items were stolen from at least one of the units, police reported.

A 45-year-old Maryland Heights woman told investigators a box with a Dell laptop, iPad Pro, a computer hard drive, phone chargers, a flashlight and backpack were stolen from her unit. The combined estimated value of the items was $770, the report said.

Investigators had not been able to contact a 38-year-old Pacific woman, whose unit was burglarized, as of Monday, and a 74-year-old Eureka man and a 76-year-old Wildwood woman said nothing appeared to be taken from their storage units, according to the report.

A storage facility employee called police at about 4 p.m. Nov. 28 after finding four units were open and locks cut from the doors. The employee said the units were secure on Nov. 27, the report said.

As of Monday, Dec. 18, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the burglaries to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
