Four people were arrested in Arnold after their car was pulled over and drugs allegedly were found inside it. At 7:57 p.m. Nov. 23, an officer stopped a 2012 Ford Fusion on the Dierbergs parking lot, 860 Arnold Commons Drive, because warrants were connected to the car’s license plate, Arnold Police reported.
Three of the people in the car were wanted on outstanding warrants. In addition, the officer allegedly found one of the four with a substance believed to be methamphetamine and smoking pipes. Police also found other drug paraphernalia in the car, including plastic straws and a scale, the report said.
The driver, a 58-year-old St. Louis man, was wanted on nine warrants, including ones from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for possession of a controlled substance; the Arnold Police Department for driving with a suspended license; the Hillsboro Police Department for driving without insurance, speeding, driving with a revoked license and driving without insurance; and the St. Louis County Police Department for possession of a controlled substance, stealing and driving with expired plates, according to the report.
A 42-year-old Lemay woman was wanted on warrants from Arnold Police for stealing and the Sheriff’s Office for felony receiving stolen property, the report said.
A 52-year-old Arnold man was wanted on warrants from the Sheriff’s Office for domestic assault; the Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department for driving with an expired license plate and driving without a license; and from Arnold Police for stealing, the report said.
The third passenger, an 18-year-old St. Louis woman, allegedly had three glass pipes and bags with a substance believed to be meth in her wallet, according to the report.
The four were arrested and taken to the Arnold Police Station, where they were booked. The 18-year-old was later released pending application for warrants, and the other three were held for the other law enforcement agencies that wanted them, according to the report.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
