The Cedar Hill Fire Protection District responded to a fire the evening of March 19 at a mobile home in the Village Green subdivision in Cedar Hill. The home was vacant, Fire Chief Mick Fischer said.

He said Cedar Hill Fire got a call at 10:33 p.m. about the fire at the home in the 6600 block of Bandstand Lane. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 10:39 p.m., and the fire was under control by 11:20 p.m.

The home is now uninhabitable, Fischer said.

On March 21, he said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

Cedar Hill was on scene until 12:40 a.m., Fischer said.

The High Ridge and Eureka fire protection districts and the Big River Ambulance District helped with the call, he said.
