A fire damaged a house off Hwy. WW in Dittmer on Jan. 5. No injuries were reported, De Soto Rural Fire Chief Tom Fitzgerald said.
He said firefighters got a call at 4:24 p.m. about a chimney fire at a house in the 8500 block of Canyon Lane. The fire had extended into a wall and ceiling, but the home is still livable.
While leaving the call, three emergency vehicles got stuck, and a tow truck was needed to get one unstuck, Fitzgerald said.
The Cedar Hill Fire Protection District assisted with the call.
