Arnold Police recently arrested a 39-year-old Festus man for leaving the scene of an accident and other offenses.
On Nov. 25, the man allegedly crashed into a vehicle in the Arnold Crossroads retail complex, causing more than $500 in damage and then left the scene, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He was listed as wanted, and at 1:26 a.m. Jan. 3, after Festus Police picked up the man, Arnold Police went to the Festus Jail and took him into custody. The man was booked and held for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, where he was wanted for a probation violation stemming from a drug charge, Jones said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a revoked license and traffic violations, Jones said.
