A Festus man returned to his house Monday afternoon (June 16) to find jewelry and prescription drugs missing, authorities say.
Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said the victim reported the incident at 3:30 p.m., after he returned to his home in the 700 block of Huber Street.
Lewis said he didn’t know how long the man had been away from his home.
“The front door was forced open,” Lewis said. “He found several items missing.”
Lewis said Tuesday (June 17) that the incident was still under investigation.
