A 34-year-old Festus man recently was arrested in Arnold after he was found passed out inside a vehicle at the Goodwill store, 3616 Richardson Square. The man was found there at 10:21 p.m. Sept. 6, after the vehicle he was driving apparently struck another one parked at the store, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man’s vehicle was still running and was in drive and was pushed up against the other vehicle it had struck. The suspect allegedly admitted to using heroin, and officers found needles in his vehicle, Jones said.
The man was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to an area hospital for evaluation, Jones said.
