An 18-year-old Festus man recently was arrested for allegedly breaking into a house in the 1700 block of Old Lemay Ferry Road, where he apparently made himself at home for a while. The burglary occurred sometime between July 8 and July 12, when the suspect allegedly ate and drank there, and even slept in a bed, Arnold Police report.

The suspect allegedly broke a door to get inside. He also reportedly was accompanied by a girlfriend, an 18-year-old Arnold woman who had not been taken into custody as of July 20, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.

Jones said officers found evidence at the scene that helped them identify the suspect. Arnold Police listed him as wanted, and later the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office picked him up, the report said.
