Arnold Police arrested a 24-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both of Fenton, for alleged possession of drugs. The two were arrested about 11 p.m. Dec. 30 during a traffic stop, Arnold Police reported.
Officers stopped a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox in the 3300 block of Vogel Road near Old Lemay Ferry Road because it did not have a front license plate. The two were inside the SUV, and police discovered that the man was wanted in Warren County on a warrant for unlawful use of a weapon. Officers also allegedly found a substance believed to marijuana and a glass pipe in one of his jacket pockets, the report said.
Officers also allegedly found drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be methamphetamine in the woman’s purse. However, the man allegedly told police the meth and paraphernalia belonged to him, according to the report.
The two were arrested and taken to the Arnold Police Station. The woman was released, and the man was held for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the report said.
Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the two through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
