A 33-year-old Franklin County man told Eureka Police a laptop and tablet were stolen from his vehicle and that he believed the theft occurred while he was at a dentist in Eureka. The theft happened sometime between Sept. 6 and Sept. 14, police reported.
The man said he believed the theft could have occurred on Sept. 7 when he was at the Eureka Dental Group, 201 East Fifth St. There were no signs of forced entry, so the vehicle was believed to be unlocked at the time of the theft, the report said.
The victim told authorities the stolen items were an HP laptop computer, valued at $500, and an AT&T Trek tablet, valued at $300, and were taken from the back seat of his car.
As of Sept. 27, none of the stolen items had been recovered and there were no suspects, Capt. David Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
