Eureka Police seek help to identify vehicle break-in suspects

The Eureka Police had asked for help to identify aman who was seen in surveillance video April 30 in the Augustine Heights neighborhood, where vehicles were broken into early in the morning.

The Eureka Police are asking for help to identify at least two people suspected of breaking into vehicles in the Augustine Heights neighborhood early this morning, April 30.

Lt. Michael Tapp said windows were smashed on at least six vehicles on Forest Run and Forest Hills drives from approximately 2-3 a.m. today. Surveillance video also shows at least one man walking up to a home in the subdivision, and he appeared to be holding a gun, Tapp said.

Detectives are still investigating the break-ins this afternoon, and it was not known if any items were stolen from vehicles or how many vehicles were entered, Tapp said.

Eureka Police ask anyone with information about the break-ins to either call 636-938-6601 or email detective@eureka.mo.us.

In a Facebook post announcing the investigation, Eureka Police also reminded residents to lock their vehicles and to remove firearms and anything valuable from vehicles.
