Four guns reportedly were stolen after they were delivered to Doc’s Guns and Ammo, 600 Stockell Drive, in Eureka. It looked like the culprit cut open an end of the box the guns were delivered in and then resealed it, leaving the box empty for the victim to find, Eureka Police reported.

The box had been delivered to the business at about 4 p.m. April 8. The box was supposed to contain two 9mm Glock G26 guns and two 9mm Glock G48 guns, altogether valued at $1,668, the report said.

As of April 8, the guns had not been recovered, and there were no suspects, Capt. David Wilson said.

In addition to the Eureka Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and FedEx’s security division are investigating the theft, Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
