A 28-year-old Arnold man said $1,000 in items were stolen from his pickup while it was parked in the Legends Corporate Center in Eureka. The theft happened between 4 p.m. Sept. 22 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 24, Eureka Police reported.

It looked like the culprit drilled through the passenger-side door lock on the 2001 Chevrolet S-10 to get inside it, the report said.

Eureka Police did not have an estimate for the cost to repair the damaged lock, Capt. David Wilson said.

The radio was taken from the dashboard, and a 300-piece Harbor Freight socket set and a black-and-white motorcycle helmet also were stolen from the pickup. The radio was valued at $400, the helmet was valued at $400 and the socket set was estimated to be worth $200, the report said.

As of Sept. 27, none of the items had been recovered and there were no suspects, Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
