Eureka Police are investigating the theft of $3,110.66 worth of items from a storage unit at the Storage Rentals of America facility, 306 W. Fourth Street. Stolen items included Cardinals baseball memorabilia, clothing, shoes, a TV and other household items, police reported.
A 41-year-old Eureka man called police at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 13. He said the lock had been removed from the unit, and there was a hole in the fence that surrounded the facility, the report said.
As of Aug. 26, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
