A Eureka man whose car had been vandalized discovered the damage when his car shuddered and died on Hwy. F, just after he had exited his subdivision, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The man inspected his 2008 Impreza and found a missing rear windshield wiper, a damaged gas cover and maple syrup covering the cap.
When he returned home, in the 100 block of Tenyam Hill, he found two more of his vehicles vandalized.
According to the report, the victim estimates the vandalism occurred between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 3.
In addition to the damage to the Impreza, the man discovered that tires had been slashed on his 2016 Chevrolet Malibu parked outside, and inside his garage, which was open, his 1970s vintage Mercedes 450 L had extensive damage to the passenger side, a slashed tire, maple syrup in the gas cap and numerous dents.
The amount of property damage was listed as unknown in the report.
On Nov. 8, Sgt. Matthew Moore of the Sheriff’s Office said there had been no arrests.
