A home in the 4000 block of Birch Street in House Springs recently was burglarized, and more than $2,200 in electronics and jewelry were stolen. The burglary was reported June 18, after the victim returned from vacation and found the items missing, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
There were no signs of forced entry, and it looked like the culprit entered the home through the front door, the report said.
Among the stolen items were a Hewlett Packard laptop computer; a 32-inch Emerson TV; a sound bar; a gold birthstone ring; a gold and sapphire ring; a gold and emerald ring; a gold and Tanzanite ring; a silver and diamond ring; a plain silver ring; dolphin-shaped earrings; and $1 coins. In all, the items were valued at $2,233, according to the report.
As of Wednesday (July 5), none of the stolen items had been recovered. There were no suspects or arrests either, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
