A delivery truck recently was stolen from C.A.R.S. Auto Salvage, 4554 Hwy. 110, in the De Soto area. The theft happened between 11 p.m. June 25 and 7:10 a.m. June 26, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The culprit damaged a chain link fence and gate to get onto the property and stole the truck, a white 2006 Ford Ranger pickup. The pickup was valued at $4,000, and the damage to the fence and gate was estimated at $3,000, the report said.
As of Wednesday (July 5), the pickup had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
