De Soto Police have arrested five people in connection with a recent burglary at Paradise Cove Hair Salon, 110 Easton St.
The burglary was reported April 4, when the salon owner told police that sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday (April 2) and 6 p.m. Monday (April 3) numerous items were taken from the business.
Police believe the suspects returned at least twice to take more items from the shop, gathering miscellaneous hair supplies and a curling iron. In all, the items were valued at less than $500, Draper reported.
Investigators examined surveillance video from the business, which showed five people police believe were involved in the burglary.
“An investigation was conducted and our officers located and arrested five individuals, two juveniles and three adults,” Draper reported.
Arrested were two 17-year-olds and one 18 year-old, all females from De Soto. The two juveniles also were from De Soto.
The juveniles were detained by the Juvenile Detention Center, and the adult suspects were booked and released pending application for warrants. De Soto Police will seek second-degree burglary charges against them, Draper reported.
“The property was recovered from the suspects and returned to the owner,” Draper said.
