handcuffs and jail bars

A 47-year-old De Soto man has been arrested in connection with a recent burglary at a home in the 14000 block of Timberline Drive in the De Soto area. The burglary occurred between May 21 and May 25, and the suspect was arrested on May 25, the same day the burglary was reported, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

It looked like the suspect broke a window and forced open a door to the home. In addition, he allegedly stole a rocking gaming chair, miscellaneous jewelry and two TVs – a 50-inch Element TV and a 32-inch Emerson TV. Altogether, the items were valued at $1,500, the report said.

One of the homeowners spotted the gaming chair at their neighbor’s house, so deputies went to that home, and allegedly found the chair and some of the other stolen items there. The items were returned to the victims, and the De Soto man was arrested, Cpl. Matthew Moore said.
