A 33-year-old De Soto man was arrested early Tuesday morning (April 26) for alleged possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine.
At 1:44 a.m., a patrol officer was checking on Auto Plaza Ford, at 12821 Hwy. 21, and saw two people on the parking lot, according to a report from De Soto Police Chief Rick Draper.
The officer discovered that one of them, the De Soto man, allegedly had three crystal-like rocks believed to be “ice” (the street name for crystal methamphetamine), the report said.
The man “was arrested and transported to our jail where he was booked in and released pending the application of warrants. (His) name will not be released until charges are filed,” according to the report.
The other person was released without charges, the report said.
