The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $16,000 in items from a house in the 1000 block of Berry Derry Road in the De Soto area, as well as from a truck parked there. The theft happened between June 19 and June 20, the report said.

Items stolen from an unlocked storage room at the rear of the house included miscellaneous tools and an air compressor. The victim also said a 2016 Yamaha Kodiak utility ATV parked near the side of the house was stolen, according to the report.

A laptop computer and tablet were stolen from the truck. The victim said he did not recall if he had locked the vehicle, Sgt. Matthew Moore said.

Moore said June 28 that the stolen items had not been recovered and no arrests had been made. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
