A 23-year-old Crystal City man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following an accident at the Circle K gas station, 2001 Richardson Road, in Arnold. The man’s car allegedly hit another man, car and pickup in the gas station’s parking lot, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called at about 2:40 p.m. June 17 to the gas station following the accident. The Crystal City man was driving a 2003 Honda Accord on the parking lot when he allegedly hit a 26-year-old Arnold man who was getting into a 2019 Hyundai Elantra that was parked outside of the gas station, the report said.
The Crystal City man also hit the front left side of the Elantra. He then drove the Accord over a curb and into the left side of a 2025 Ford F-350 that was unoccupied and parked outside the gas station, according to the report.
The Crystal City man allegedly appeared to be impaired, and he allegedly possessed a substance suspected of being marijuana, the report said.
An officer examined the Crystal City man and determined he may have been under the influence of drugs. The man was arrested and consented to a blood draw to determine if he had drugs in his system, according to the report.
The man was issued summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged careless and imprudent driving and DWI, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
