A 42-year-old Arnold man allegedly cut his neighbor’s hand with a knife during an argument at an apartment complex on Airglades Drive. The incident happened around 7:35 a.m. Jan. 21, Arnold Police reported.
The 42-year-old reportedly was arguing with his 25-year-old neighbor over a transaction that began on the internet. During the dispute, the suspect allegedly cut the palm of the younger man’s hand, the report said.
The victim went to an area hospital and received stitches to treat the wound, according to the report.
By the time police arrived at the scene, the suspect had left. However, at about 5:30 p.m., officers were able to track him down to a home on Lakeview Crossing in Arnold after a tip was called in about his location, the report said.
The suspect already was wanted by St. Louis Police on a fugitive warrant. Arnold Police arrested the man and transported him to the Police Station, where he was booked and held for St. Louis Police, Capt. Rich Shular said.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree assault, Shular said.
