The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent burglary at a home in the 3800 block of Hwy. V in the De Soto area.
Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. July 16, someone reportedly used a rock to break glass in the front door and then got inside the home and stole computers and jewelry, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Stolen items included a blue, 17-inch Hewlett-Packard laptop computer; a black and silver, 17-inch Hewlett-Packard laptop computer; women’s costume jewelry and men’s jewelry, altogether valued at $800, the report said.
None of the items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests as of July 18, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
