Two coin machines valued at about $7,000 recently were stolen from the High Ridge Quick Stop in the 2900 block of High Ridge Boulevard. The burglary happened about 5 a.m. Oct. 9, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Based on a witness account and surveillance footage, it looked like a man backed a white Ford cargo van through the front door of the store, got out of the van and went inside and loaded the coin machines into the van and then left, turning onto Antire Road, the report said.
The man was white and was wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing and white gloves and tennis shoes. There was no license plate on the back of the van, according to the report.
As of Tuesday (Oct. 19), the machines had not been recovered, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. There were no suspects or arrests either. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
