A gold 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle recently was stolen from the 3900 block of Wilkinson Road in the De Soto area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
It was stolen sometime between March 16 and April 8.
The car was inoperable and was parked behind a vacant house, the report said.
It been parked there for about three years, according to the report.
A neighbor told deputies she saw a black flat-bed two truck in the driveway between 3:30 and 4 p.m. April 2.
As of Thursday (April 17), the car had not been recovered and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
