Arnold Police are investigating the theft of copper pipes from an irrigation system at the Cedarhurst Senior Living community, 2069 Missouri State Road. The backflow pipes were discovered missing when the system was being prepared for use this season, police reported.
The Police Department did not provide an estimate for the damage.
A 42-year-old Collinsville, Ill., man who works at Cedarhurst reported the theft at about 3:30 p.m. April 3 but could not provide a specific time when the pipes were stolen. It appeared the culprit cut the pipes and then stole them, the report said.
As of April 12, the pipes had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
