An electrical fire early in the morning on Sept. 27 has left a mobile home uninhabitable. The fire occurred in the 6000 block of Margie Estate in Cedar Hill, according to Cedar Hill Assistant Fire Chief David Jones.

He said no one in the house was injured in the fire, which started in a bedroom.

Jones said Cedar Hill Fire arrived at the fire at 2:22 a.m. and had the fire under control by 2:44 a.m.

“(The mobile home) had some pretty significant damage,” he said. “The meter was pulled so (the homeowners) no longer have electricity. The Red Cross was called to assist them.”

Jones said a husband, wife, and their adult son occupied the home.

The fire was not considered suspicious, he said.

Eureka and High Ridge fire protection districts and Big River Ambulance District helped the department. Jones said the last firetrucks left the scene at 3:37 a.m.
