This home on Twin Ridge Road in Cedar Hill was destroyed by fire.

A home at 7309 Twin Ridge Road in Cedar Hill was destroyed by fire on Saturday morning (Aug. 21), said Assistant Chief Greg Shuster of the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District.

He would not comment about the cause of the fire because the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the state Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating it.

No one was at home during the fire, Shuster said.

Cedar Hill Fire got a call at 6:23 a.m. about the fire at the ranch-style home, and firefighters arrived on the scene at 6:32 a.m. The fire was under control by 7:10 a.m. and crews were on the scene until 10:38 a.m., he said.

The High Ridge, Hillsboro, Goldman, Eureka, Pacific and St. Clair fire protection districts helped with the call. The Big River Ambulance District also responded to the scene.
