Arnold Police are trying to locate a white Ford F-250 believed to have been used to steal catalytic converters from pickups at two businesses on Lonedell Industrial Court. Police believe the F-250 was used to yank off a catalytic converter from a 2016 Ford F-550. Another converter was cut off a 2019 Dodge Ram, police reported.

An officer was called at about 8:30 a.m. Feb. 11 to Shelton’s Landscape and Maintenance, 1515 Lonedell Industrial Court, after an employee discovered the converter missing on the company’s F-550. Surveillance video showed the converter was stolen between about 3:40 a.m. and 4 a.m. Feb. 11, when a man got out the F-250, wrapped a chain around the F-550’s exhaust pipe and pulled off the converter, causing about $1,000 in damage to the F-550, according to the report.

While the officer was talking to the landscaping business employee, an employee from nearby Cooper Color, 1524 Lonedell Industrial Court, told the officer that a catalytic converter was cut off the company’s Ram. The cost to repair the Ram was estimated at $2,500, Arnold Police Reported.

As of Feb. 17, neither converter had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
