arnold police patch

Arnold Police have identified a 35-year-old Imperial man as a person of interest in the theft of catalytic converter from a pickup parked outside an AutoZone store. Investigators found a wallet with the man’s ID in it near the damaged pickup, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.

Police were called to the store, 1898 Richardson Road, after employees discovered the catalytic converter was cut off a 2020 Ford F-350 the business had rented from Enterprise Leasing. The theft happened between about 9 p.m. Feb. 6 and 9 a.m. Feb. 7, the report said.

The cost to repair the pickup was estimated at $1,700, according to the report.

Ackermann said Arnold Police are familiar with the man whose ID was found, and he is wanted on numerous warrants from the department and the St. Louis County Police Department.
