Festus Police are seeking information about the theft of a catalytic converter from a recreational vehicle parked outside the Red Roof Storage, 600 Horine Road. The theft was reported June 1, but could have occurred anytime between March and May 31, Chief Tim Lewis said.
“The victim, a 63-year-old Festus man, said the catalytic converter had been taken from his 2001 Coachman RV stored at Red Roof Storage,” Lewis said. “He had not seen the RV since sometime in March.”
Lewis said the cost to repair the RV was estimated at $1,200.
He said no other catalytic converter thefts had been reported from vehicles at the storage facility.
The catalytic converter had not been recovered and no arrests had been made as of June 7, Lewis said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
