Eureka Police are investigating a theft of cash and electronics from an unlocked car parked outside a home on Caribou Court. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, said $880 in cash, a set of Apple AirPods and a Sennheiser PA (public announcement) system were stolen from her car, Eureka Police reported.

The woman’s doorbell surveillance camera captured footage at about 5:15 a.m. Nov. 4 of what appeared to be a silver Ford F-150 pull up to the house with its headlights off. Then, someone got out of the pickup and went through the woman’s unlocked 2016 Honda Civic, the report said.

The woman told police the money was in an envelope in the glove box, the AirPods, which were valued at $199, were in the center console and the PA system, valued at about $250, was on the floor in the rear passenger area. Together, the cash and other items were worth a combined $1,329, according to the report.

As of Nov. 20, the cash and stolen items had not been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
